Our faculty serve at the helm of three national pharmacy organizations. Our alumni are forging new ground in pharmaceutical research, clinical care and community service. Our students are recognized as among the best in the nation.
We are looking to raise $4.5 M for endowed professorships and chairs to recruit and retain the best talent in academic pharmacy.
Tuition must not be a barrier for talented students wishing to pursue a pharmacy career. $5 M will provide 50 additional scholarships for worthy students.
Pharmacy education happens beyond the classroom. Our students must be able to experience professional meetings and unique experiential training environments. $500,000 will support students in pursuing professional development outside of the R. Blackwell Smith building.
Interprofessionalism is at the heart of health care. The VCU School of Pharmacy leads the university in collaborative care outreach and training.
Our pharmacist led patient centered outreach in the community initiatives include 20,000 patient interactions; 500 students on APPE; 35 residents and millions of dollars saved by community partners each year.
The School of Pharmacy has established 15 partnerships across the university community including the School of the Arts, the School of Allied Health Professions, the School of Engineering, the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing and the School of Social Work.
Recognized with the C. Peter Magrath University Community Engagement Award and AACP’s Lawrence C. The expertise of our research faculty, institutes and centers is evident by increasing levels of federal research funding, research productivity and intellectual property output. We must expand the infrastructure supporting our scientists as they strive to discover/invent new treatments and cures for human disease.
Research Centers and Institutes at the VCU School of Pharmacy expand our knowledge and advance the development of new treatments and cures.
Innovations in clinical practice and entrepreneurial research create new models for improved patient outcomes and cost savings.
Investment in graduate education transforms the future of the pharmaceutical sciences by nurturing new scientists and clinicians to become thought leaders in their chosen professions.
